Clyde G. Snedecor III

Clyde G. Snedecor III "Clay," age 65 of Johnsonville, New York; passed away after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma on March 14, 2023. Clyde was born January 8, 1958 to Clyde and Eleanor Snedecor of Cohoes, New York. Clyde attended Cohoes schools and then began his lifelong career as a contractor. He loved bringing his family to visit his Aunts, Uncles and cousins in and around Burlington, VT on the farm. He could build anything. He was an amazing woodworker and could do ANY job whether it be residential homes or commercial projects and properties. He ended his career at NEPSI (North East Power Supply Inc) when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2018. Clyde was predeceased by his father Clyde G. Snedecor Jr. as well as his nephew Timothy Snedecor whom he raised and loved as his very own son. Clyde was survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Snedecor, his mother Eleanor Snedecor, his daughters Maria and Kayla Snedecor, his granddaughter Nevaeh Snedecor, his grandsons Caleb and Anthony Bell, his brother Randall (Bonnie) Snedecor, sister Karla (Anibal) Snedecor-Flores his brother in laws Rodney Pipino, Dennis (Lori) Pipino and Anthony Pipino, as well as several nieces and nephews. There are not sufficient words to describe the man Clyde (Clay) was, is and forever will be in life and in this time of transition. He was an amazing provider and support system to his family and friends that became family, but also ANYONE in need. He loved spending time with his family anyway he could! Especially if it involved nature. Nicknamed "Smiley" to many of those who loved him for that very reason. His sarcasm and cheeky grin always made you smile! Clay was an avid outdoorsman who truly believed in self-sustainability. Being a provider through these activities was his main goal. He taught many people about this lifestyle, after all "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." He lived by this and was nicknamed "Clyde the Guide" by his hunting, fishing and outdoor sports brothers and sisters. Friends truly became family to this man and he is deeply loved by all! Funeral services are Saturday at 6pm from the Marra Funeral Home. Calling hours are Saturday from 4-6 prior to services.
