Dennis M. Charland Sr.

Dennis M. Charland Sr. (48) of Stillwater, passed away suddenly at his home on January 5th, 2024. He was welcomed into God's Kingdom by his father Malcom (Dennis) Charland and his sister Christine Charland. Born in Albany, NY he was the son of the late Malcom (Dennis) Charland and Patrice Ray, and he was the bonus son of Francis Manning. He was the devoted husband to his wife, and a loving father to his children and bonus children. Protective brother to his sister and a caring uncle to his nephew Dennis was predeceased in death by his maternal grandparents Richard and Helen Ray, his paternal grandfather Malcom Charland, his father Malcom (Dennis) Charland and his sister Christine Charland. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Tracey Charland, his children Faith Minn-Ross (Hayley Ross, Delilah Ross) Dennis M. Charland Jr. Dillon M. Charland, AvaMay E. Hoffman, his bonus children Madison E. Hayes, and Mason R. Hayes. His Mother Patrice Manning (Francis), his sister Lisa LeBlanc, nephew Justin LeBlanc and paternal Grandmother Helen Charland. His mother-in-law Denise Griffin, sister-in-law Tasha Schenkel (Maliek Hameed), his father's longtime partner in life Suzette Bonnier-Langworthy, step siblings Bryan, Theresa, Jennifer, Jamie and Heather along with several caring Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Dennis held a special place in his heart for his cousin Dennis "Rags" (Kate) Bagley who he considered a father figure and Albert (Teryn) Charland who he had a close bond with since childhood. Dennis was an extremely hard worker and was a long-time employee of Dyer Brothers in Mechanicville. He excelled in all areas of construction and loved to help people get anything done they needed. Him and his wife recently purchased their home in Stillwater that he was rehabbing into their forever home. Dennis loved his family and thrived on his relationships with them. He was always there to help however he could. He supported his wife with her passion for animal rescue and enjoyed their many reptiles and dogs especially their Rottie Diesel He loved Harleys, the rock band kiss, spending time fishing anywhere but especially at Grafton where he would take a rowboat out to fish, often with his stepson Mason. He enjoyed going to concerts with his son Dennis and being with his family. He was a collector of knives and anything with skulls and crowns. He was larger than life and will be sorely missed by those that knew and loved him. Services will be held Saturday January 13th 2024 at 2pm, from the Marra Funeral Home located at 246 Remsen Street Cohoes, NY 12047 with a reception immediately following at the Polish American Club on Willow St in Cohoes. Visitation hours will be held 12pm-2pm Saturday prior to services.
