Cohoes, NY Francis John Barnett passed away on December 21, 2025 at the age of 64, after succumbing to multiple health complications. He was born on January 8, 1961, and was known to most as Frank or Frankie. Frank was deeply loved and will be remembered by all who knew him. Frank leaves behind his beloved fiancée, Patricia, his five children—daughters Gina, Stephanie, and Alexandra; his stepdaughter, Samantha; his only son, Frankie—and four cherished grandchildren. He was one of five siblings and the second eldest. Frank was a cherished brother to his three sisters, Angela, Linda, and Gia, and his brother Anthony. Though life brought its differences over the years, they all shared one unwavering bond—the love they held for Frank. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Frank grew up alongside his siblings during challenging times, which helped shape his strong, independent personality. He grew into a man of many qualities, most notably his gift of gab. Frank loved telling stories—about where he’d been, what he’d done, and the many experiences that filled his life. He was a man who had seen much, lived fully, and embraced life with passion. His love for cooking and business led him to a career in the catering industry, while his talent for hands-on work and machinery led him down many other professional paths. Though Frank was a hardworking man, he had a special love for his animals—Yogi Bear, Charlie, Dakota, and Cali—who were not just pets, but family, and whom he cared for with great love and devotion. Frank was eclectic and deeply passionate about life, finding joy in both its simplest moments and its greatest challenges. Beneath his strong will and tireless work ethic was a kind and generous heart, always ready to help others whenever he could. Frank was devoted to those around him and never hesitated to lend a hand. Over the years, many people he worked with—coworkers and customers alike—became more than acquaintances; they became friends. Frank was loved by many and respected for his honesty, sense of humor, and ability to make people smile. His warmth, kindness, and genuine gestures left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday 12/31/25 from 3 to 5pm at the Marra Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 5pm.
