James Vincent Masse

James (Jim/Jimmy) Vincent Masse transitioned into eternal life on April 7, 2023. Born on September 24, 1976. Predeceased by father Jacques and survived by Mother Maryanne (Walsh) Masse of Cohoes, New York. He left behind his beloved daughters, Sierra (Josh) Masse, Brianna Masse, and Ellis Trubridge; his siblings, Maryanne (Bob) Dozois, Jay (Julie) Masse, Thomas (Lisa) Masse, Roberta Masse, twin sister; Christine (Ed) Fink, and Danielle Masse, along with many nieces, nephews, and several lifelong friends he chose as family. He was the owner of Masse Contracting and former employee of Vanderheyden of Wynantskill NY along with TriCity Rentals Maintenance. Jim had many passions in life, yet his position as a parent was his first priority. James was a single father who earned the title and privilege of being called “DAD” daily. As a father of girls Jim learned modeling unconditional love was the best quality he and life had to offer. Whether learning to brush their hair, teaching them to read, how to ride a bike, catch and scale fish, or even letting them have their “little girl temper tantrums” Jim knew actively loving them every minute of every day was the key to being the great dad that he was. Jimmy was always up for a good time and brought life to every occasion. He actively participated in and attended every event from; friends' baby showers, children's birthday parties to remodeling the entire house projects. It truly didn't matter Jim was always supportive. He lived a selfless life ready and willing to help others and jumping at the first opportunity to be a positive male role model to many. Throughout his life Jim enjoyed Rollerblading, outdoor Roller Hockey, and of course dancing with some good ol’ karaoke. Yet from a little boy to a grown man Jim had such passion for fishing and hunting. Cooking it up was his specialty. Everyone was welcome. Jim had a huge heart and smile to match! His joy for life is a legacy that will forever keep on giving. Calling hours will be held at Marra Funeral Home, 246 Remsen St. Cohoes, NY 12047, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m., services will follow and a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
