Hiram Bentley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hiram Bentley, 77, died November 7th, 2021 peacefully at home in Brunswick NY. Born in Berlin, NY. Hiram was the son of the late Chauncey Bentley and Gladys Frances Bentley (Jones). For the past 37 years Hiram lived with the Center for Disability Services at the White Church Road residence. He also attended Brunswick Center Services. He was known for his photogenic smile and his love to be out in his community. Hiram enjoyed walks down White Church Road and greeting his neighbors. He considered those who lived with him as his family and enjoyed many memories through the years with past and present housemates. Hiram loved going on adventures he enjoyed travels to Boston, Atlantic City and camping trips in the great outdoors. He was predeceased by his brothers Ervin Aldrich, Laverne Bentley and his sister Elizabeth Bentley. He is survived by Bertha Wagar of Nevada, his sister-in-law Gail Bentley Averrill Park and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his family at White Church Road and by many caring and dedicated people at the Center for Disability Services who were a significant part of his life through the years. His services will be held at Marra Funeral Home in Cohoes on Monday, November 15th. Calling hours are 10-11 am with funeral service at 11am.
