Cohoes, NY Jamie Elizabeth Benway passed into eternal life on August 10, 2020. Born in 1997, Jamie grew up in Clifton Park and attended Shenendehowa Schools. Jamie loved her friends and was compassionate and empathetic to those going through hard times. From the time she was a little girl, she was known for her sweet disposition and was always very polite and respectful around adults. She was a good learner and very intuitive. A dream she sometimes expressed was to become a counselor someday, since she had a natural gift for seeing the hurts in others and wanting to help. She had recently accepted some caregiving assignments, working with the elderly. She seemed to have an innate gift and liking for this type of work. Family and friends who knew Jamie well saw the inner beauty and sweetness of her soul. Jamie will be greatly missed by her mother, Patricia Benoit and her father, James Benway, both of Clifton Park; and also by her many dear friends, especially Megan Meyer who shared many birthdays with Jamie. A celebration of Jamie’s life will take place on Sunday August 23,2020 from 4-5:15 at the Grace Chapel 99 Main St. Clifton Park NY 12065 A special thank you to Kelly Machia and her family for all the loving support through this time.
