John (Jack) J. Marinucci

John (Jack) J. Marinucci 86 of Zypherhills, Fl. passed June 9th, 2016. Born in Cohoes he was son of Captain John Vincent and Carolyn (Yurek) Marinucci. Jack attended Cohoes Schools and served in the Army and fought in the Korean War. He is a purple heart recipient. A member of the N.Y. Army National Guard. He also was a founder of the VFW in Latham, NY. He retired from the Schenetady General Electric as a machine repairman of 30 years. He loved to fish and be in the outdoors. Above all Jack was proud to be an American and loved his country dearly. He was husband of the late Martha ( LeGrand) Marinucci. Father of the late Sue Ann Marinucci and Mrs. Gregory D. (Charlene) Brown of Mohawk, NY. He later married Jeannie (Franisconi) Marinucci with whom he had two step sons Albert(Jackie) Gregorie and Lenoard (Mary Lou) Gregorie and a step daughter Mrs. Michael Joanne Reynolds. Grandfather of Zachary, Anthony and Alison Carlin, Daniel and Lauren Brown also survived by several step grandchildren. Brother of Emmett (Dorothy) Marinucci, Anna Mae Marinucci, Geraldine (late Richard) Zandri and the late Phyllis (Marinucci) Pucci also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services Wednesday at 10am from St. Ambrose Church Latham. Interment will be in Memory’s Garden Colonie. There are no calling hours.
