Marilyn Elizabeth Sanderson

Marilyn Elizabeth Sanderson (Brouker), known to most as "Betty" passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 16th at the age of 90. She was the daughter of Waldo and Jeanette Brouker, raised in the Albany Rensselaer area and spent most of her life in Delmar New York. As a young woman she competed in figure skating and was a member of the RPI Figure Skating club where she was featured in the local newspaper. She loved dancing and briefly enjoyed being a dance instructor. She was very passionate about South American culture and loved to speak Spanish. She was an avid sunworshipper and enjoyed music and singing. Betty is survived by three children: Richard Sanderson Jr, Randall Sanderson (Jami) and Russell Sanderson (Laura) as well as 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great- grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Olive Farrell as well. Two children Ralph W Sanderson and Candy Lee Sanderson predeceased her as well as her sister June Brady. Although there is no plan for a formal service there will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
