Ralph Bergenson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Albany, NY Ralph “Skippy” Bergenson, 56, was born on 1/31/1965. He spent many years in family care before finding a permanent home with the Center for Disability Services. In 1999 he moved into the Centers Loudon Road residence. When his needs changed he later moved into Sidney Albert. Following a short illness Skippy passed away at St. Peter’s hospital on 3/10/2021. He was surrounded by the support of the St. Peters team and his Sidney Albert family. Skippy received day, residential and health care services through the Center. Skippy was a man of few words but he made his presence known with his big personality. He enjoyed life, appreciated those he cared about and would let them know with a smile and a simple friendly gesture of admiration. He was up for a good time but also loved a day of relaxing, drinking coffee and listening to music. He recently became a master at figuring out all of the functions on his wheelchair and loved to challenge himself to learn new things. Skippy will be missed by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16th at the Marra Funeral Home. Visitation hours will be held prior to services from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Internment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waterford. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
