In Loving Memory of Cheryl Ann Law April 23, 1957 - May 30, 2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl Ann Law, who entered eternal rest on May 30, 2026, at the age of 69. Cheryl was born on April 23, 1957, in Bay Shore, Islip, Long Island, New York. She was welcomed into eternal peace and reunited with her beloved father, James Rankin, and her mother, Joyce Mae Lam, both of whom she loved deeply and missed throughout the years. Cheryl was a kind, caring, and compassionate woman whose greatest joy in life was her family. She had a generous heart, a warm smile, and a gentle spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. Whether offering encouragement, extending a helping hand, or simply being present for those she loved, Cheryl made everyone feel valued and cared for. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Cheryl especially loved the holiday season and found great joy in giving gifts to those she loved. She treasured gathering with family and friends, creating cherished memories through celebrations, laughter, and time spent together. She also enjoyed traveling to Virginia, where she shared many happy moments with loved ones over the years. Cheryl dedicated 30 years of her life to caring for others through her work at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, New York. She took great pride in her work and was deeply committed to the well-being of her residents and patients. Cheryl is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Law, with whom she shared many years of love and happiness. She is also survived by her children: Erick Roadcap and his wife, Danielle, and their children, Caiden, Emilee, and Ty; Corey Law and his fiancée, Ashley, and his son, Brantley; and Matthew Law and his son, Carson. She is also lovingly remembered by her stepsons, Michael Law and his wife, Kristen, and their daughters, Giavanna and Gabriela; and Paul Law. In addition, Cheryl is survived by her brother, Herbert Rankin and his companion, Sherry Thornton; her brother, Edward Rankin, and the cherished memory of his late wife, Tina Rankin; and her loving sister, Rebecca Law and her husband, Brian. Cheryl cherished her many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, stepmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in watching her children and grandchildren grow. The memories she created, the traditions she carried on, and the unconditional love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her kindness, compassion, strength, and love will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Cheryl's life on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Marra Funeral Home, 246 Remsen Street, Cohoes, New York 12047, funeral services will follow at 3:00pm. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Center Brunswick Firehouse, 1045 Hoosick Road, Troy, New York 12180.
