Joan B. Esposito

Cohoes, NY It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Joan B. Esposito, announces her passing on November 21st. Born in Cohoes to the late Stephen & Bertha (Tobin) Koblensky, Joan went on to reside in Cohoes for most of her life. Joan would go on to raise a beautiful family with her late husband, Frank J. Esposito. Throughout her life, Joan truly perfected the role of being a homemaker. She was an amazing cook and baker known for her decadent cakes, authentic galumpkis, and her infamous macaroni and potato salads. Above that, Joan was a true nuturer and always made sure everyone was well taken care of, from her family to friends and neighbors. Joan was a devoted parishoner of St. Joseph's and Holy Trinity and loved to play Bingo, slot machines, and dine out wherever she could find good spaghetti and meatballs. She loved spending time with her family and could often be found going on adventurous getaways and joining in on her granddaughter's animal rescue ventures. Joan could always be found with a dog or cat in her lap and was known to let her kids and grandkids take in just about any animal they could find. Joan was as good and pure as they come. Always an honest, loyal woman devoted to caring for others, she always put everyone above herself. Joan always wrapped everyone who knew her, in her warmth and love and was most affectionately known to many as "Gram." Joan was the epitome of forgiveness and all things good. Even if you only met her once, she made a lasting impression. She was truly as beautiful inside as she was on the outside. In her recent years, Joan loved residing with her granddaughter Jennifer & her family in Stephentown, where she spent the days being doted on as the Queen she was, while soaking in the serene nature and peaceful views. She had a very special bond with her great granddaughter Mia, and it was rare to find one without the other. Joan is predeceased in death by her husband Frank Esposito, siblings Leona, Jack, Steve, and Leo, her beloved sons, James & Frankie Esposito, and her grandson in law, Jeffrey Vautrin. Survivors include her loving children Susan Miller, Joan Esposito, and Michael Esposito. Her cherished grandchildren Jeremy Miller, Jason (Jessica) Miller, Jeffrey Esposito, Danielle Kanser (Jason), Nicole Vautrin, Jennifer Seitz (Ray), Alyssa Esposito, Amanda Rossi and Gene Rossi. Joan is also survived by several great grandchildren and many friends and family members. A special thanks to her grandson- in- law, Ray Seitz for all of his dedication and care. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Van Rensselaer Manor for their kindness, compassion, and utmost dedicated care. To Sam, Toni, Anna, Butterfly, Marie, and the entire staff on A3- we will never forget all of you. The calling hours for will be at Marra Funeral Home on Monday 11/25 from 11-1 with a Catholic Service at 1pm. A procession to St. Marys Cemetery in Troy will immediately follow.
